The African Professional Council of New Zealand Incorporated (APCNZ) is pleased to feature Kola Fatokun as this month’s Scholarly Excellence Spotlight, recognising his significant academic achievement and contribution to research-driven community development.
Kola graduated on 17 April 2026 from the University of Waikato, completing a research programme focused on the role of entrepreneurship in strengthening refugee resettlement and enhancing socio-economic participation. His research addresses a critical area of policy and practice, offering practical insights into how entrepreneurial frameworks can support integration outcomes, economic inclusion, and long-term community resilience.
Professionally, Kola operates as a Senior Information Management Specialist, where he provides expert advisory services across corporate, public, and community sectors. His work reflects a strong alignment between research and applied practice — a hallmark of impactful scholarship.
