The Waikato Networking Event was a strong and positive engagement for APCNZ. The event created a valuable space for professionals to connect, exchange knowledge, and share practical insights on how APCNZ can continue to grow as a credible professional institution. The conversations reflected strong interest in APCNZ’s vision, particularly around professional networking, leadership development, mentorship, visibility, and meaningful collaboration across sectors. Feedback from attendees was encouraging. There was clear appreciation for APCNZ’s effort to establish a strong presence in Waikato, especially given that Waikato is our headquarters region. Professionals also shared useful perspectives on areas APCNZ can explore, including targeted professional development sessions, sector-based engagement, stronger member participation, and future events that create practical value for members. Overall, the event strengthened awareness of APCNZ, deepened local engagement, and confirmed the importance of creating regular opportunities for members and professionals to meet, contribute ideas, and build trust in the Council’s vision. This was a positive step forward for APCNZ in Waikato, and I thank everyone who supported the event.
